Engaged employees become brand advocates and evangelize your organization. Engaged employees do better work to serve your customers and ensure your team and organization hit revenue targets. Here are three ways to boost your employee engagement:

  1. Team leads, not HR need to lead the charge. Team leads have the day-to-day interaction with employees, and establish deeper connections. When engagement efforts come from a trusted advisor employee response is greater.
  2. Team leads need to hold candid conversations. Employee engagement can't come from a canned speech at a company-wide staff meeting. Managers need to pick and choose their moments to have maximum impact on employees.
  3. Teams need to rally around their customer base. Customers are what keep us all in business. Every single team member needs to keep their end customer in mind in everything they do.
