One of America’s sweetest holidays is almost upon us. National Cheesecake Day is observed every July 30th. This tradition started by The Cheesecake Factory, is a great way for families to come together over a sweet treat. This year, the Cheesecake Factory will introduce new Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch Cheesecake, topped with Nutella, laying on a blonde brownie crust. Slices will be available for half price on National Cheesecake Day. Click here for more details

Non-traditional holidays, like National Cheesecake Day, present employers with a unique opportunity to create a little fun in the office; whether it’s bringing in one of 30 varieties of cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate the day, or giving employees a gift card to The Cheesecake Factory so they can celebrate with their families. Using timely rewards like The Cheesecake Factory gift cards can also allow employees to stretch their reward dollar with half-priced slices, and/or celebrate National Cheesecake Day when they may ordinarily have skipped it.

Allowing employees to make the most of their rewards also increases the perceived value. If an employee is given a gift card and uses it on National Cheesecake Day, their reward goes twice as far. This raises the trophy value and employees remember the reward in a different way. The more memorable a reward is, the more likely it is to impact not only future behavior, but loyalty, and employer perception.

Use National Cheesecake Day as a way to celebrate, but also build relationships between your organization and its employees.
